WE ALL DO R&D

At Imola Informatica, there is no traditional “research and development” department because we all do research every day.

We experiment with new technologies and methods in the field, through in-house projects and laboratory activities. We conduct research in cooperation with academia, innovation networks and our customers.

We study and test each solution to better meet the needs of organizations, finding innovative solutions to recurring problems that are unique to each organization’s context and ecosystem. That is why each of our research experiences is distinct.

LAB

We have a physical and virtual lab where students, researchers and the staff from Open Innovation Lab member companies can access hardware, middleware and software infrastructures to experiment with innovative technologies. The lab focuses on cloud computing, big data, industry 4.0 and machine learning, offering virtualization systems and private IaaS (OpenStack), virtual networks, dedicated hardware clusters, GPUs, virtual and physical switches and routers, distributed file systems and storage, and IoT devices.

UNIVERSITIES

We work with universities and laboratories to explore different technological aspects and their impact on ecosystems.

We nurture the knowledge and talent emerging from academia, experiment with technology and promote startups.

CLUST-ER INNOVATE

People, skills and technologies leveraging digital transformation.

We work with Clust-ER, an association focused on innovation in services. We are active in developing innovative services and conducting ICT technology research, in partnership with research centres, educational institutions, and enterprises.

We are committed to promoting an open innovation approach.

Oilab
Open Innovation Lab

A project promoted by the University of Bologna and Imola Informatica to better connect the world of research with local companies and institutions.
Our goal is to create an open, free technology innovation ecosystem to develop local communities.

CALLS FOR TENDERS

We take part in regional, national and European calls for innovation.

NETWORKS

We are active participants in academic and industry networks, developing relationships and partnerships. We contribute our experience while continuing to learn and hone our skills.
